Hailing from the USA and Brazil respectively, both Messier and EZEK are well established in their solo careers. A combined discography boasts releases via Awen Tales, Beatfreak, Freegrant, Steyoyoke, Univack and more. The duo’s astral sounds have also found favour with a broad selection of the underground’s tastemakers in Danny Tenaglia, Guy Gerber, Hernan Cattaneo, Nicole Moudaber and more. Having previously collaborated on a track for Beatfreak’s Elements 05 collection, Messier and EZEK join forces once again, making their Eat My Hat debut with ’All I Need’, alongside a remix from Ziger. Aimed squarely at a peak hour dance floor, ’All I Need’ marries trance-inducing rhythms and striking percussion with punchy beats and rolling grooves. An array of squelchy stabs and devilish effects steals the air across the first act, sweeping in and out of the stereo-field, as vocal overlays create intrigue leading into the break. Looking to bring greater emotional depth across the interlude, a primary melodic theme rises, bringing with it prophetic vibes and warm chord changes, before a well-crafted build and buzzing effects spark a devilish drop and charged finale. The lone interpretation of ’All I Need’ is provided by Eat My Hat label boss Ziger. The veteran Greek artist had a memorable 2022 which was highlighted by projects for ICONYC, iNu, SLC-6 Music and of course Eat My Hat. 2023 has seen the Athens resident be choosy in his projects, with a lone remix of Axel Giova’s ’Crescendo’ landing in March to a warm reception. Now, presenting just his second production of the year, Ziger overhauls ’All I Need’ in epic fashion. While maintaining the electric spirit of the original, the veteran artist crafts a sweeping sonic experience all his own, a fiery journey where thunderous grooves meet siren-like wails and panoramic effects for the ultimate dance floor assault.
