HEARTBREAKER - FREE - Title track of Heartbreaker album 1972

After the departure of Andy Fraser it was decided by the remaining members of Free that they would carry on . The band had a set of dates in Japan. Free had made it big in Japan and the band was loved there. At the time a doublebill with Emerson Lake and Palmer would be the biggest show held in that country. With Andy leaving the band the band had to find new members - enter John “Rabbit“ Bundrick and Tetsu Yamauchi they had played on the album Kossoff Kirke Tetsu Rabbit - number Heartbreaker is a song from a three piece band Paul Rodgers had formend after Free’s first split called Peace. This song is the number that inspired Ritchie Blackmore to write the song Mistreated with Deep Purple.
