Benny Goodman Today (1970) [Complete 2 LP Album]

One Of Our Deleted Albums Series - London Phase 4 Stereo Benny Goodman (1909-1986) was one of the most world’s most popular band leaders during the Big Band era of the 1930’s and 1940’s. This album featured live recordings of Benny Goodman concerts in Stockholm, Sweden in the London Records Phase 4 Stereo label, catalogue number SP 44160 SPB21. This is an excellent album but, as far as I am aware, this album has been deleted and is no longer available in any format. The audio here was taken from an early 1970’s British pressing of the original Phase 4 Stereo 2 LP set. Phase 4 Stereo used 20 channel mixers at a time when 4,8 and 16 track mixers were the norm. The label released some excellent classical and jazz recordings. Phase 4 Stereo recordings have been deleted and, as far as I am aware, are not currently available commercially. I have never seen this recording of Benny Goodman released on CD. I will put more London Phase 4 Stereo recordings on the channel as time permits.
