I want to thank everyone who opened this cover and watched it till the end. I’m very grateful for your support. Also, my English is very good but I hope you will understand me. Before anything else, I’d like to share some information about every step I took while learning, practicing, and recording this cover. Thanks to HYUNJIN (member of Stray Kids), who created this beautiful choreography with deep meaning. In 2020, I accidentally found it on YouTube while searching for any inspiration. It was the time when I wanted to quit dancing, and I couldn’t find any strength in my soul to continue doing what I liked because everyone told me that I’ll never be successful. But finding this choreography opened the second breath in me, and I started all over again. I’ve practiced a lot and I still need to practice to become better in dancing, but now, being who I am and doing what I like I’m really happy. And all of this because, one upon a time, I bumped to this incredible choreography and started listening to K-pop. HYUNJIN shared his own story with us (STAYs) with this dance, and now I want to share my story with you. Year ago, this day, I’ve lost my grandfather. He was the one who always supported me and loved me unconditionally. He always wanted me to be happy doing what I like, and now I want to dedicate this dance cover to him. Thank you, my dear, for always believing in me. Now you’re gone, but I’ll never forget you and everything you taught me. It’s me, the girl you always called your lovely daughter. And know what? You were right. I AM your daughter. I love to dance, sing, and live my life as a free and happy person as you always did. I’m proud to be the only one child in the whole family who has the same hazel eyes as yours. It means that we’re connected forever because eyes are the mirror of our soul. And now, when you’re gone, my eyes shine as bright as yours always did. I hope you’ll like my dance cover. It may not be perfect, but it’s me and my feelings. And this is all that matters.
