Charity Project to the memory of STEFAN KRACHTEN [PRE-ORDER a copy of the limited vinyl edition] GOLDMAN live at the BLUE SHELL w/ Stefan Krachten (dr), Mel Collins (sax), Thomas Kessler (synth) , Helian Schulte (dj), Konstantin Wienstroer (b), Helmut Zerlett (kb) We would like to ask for your kind support for a very special project we’re currently working on. Last summer the band recorded two concerts at the legendary Cologne live club BLUE SHELL. Our plan was to produce a live album with some excerpts from those gigs. Sadly, that has not happened so far as the drummer of the band, our dear friend STEFAN KRACHTEN, passed away in September, only three months after the gigs. Stefan was the GOLDMAN founder, bandleader and mastermind. Dedicated to his memory we would now like to make a limited VINYL edition from Stefan’s last officially recorded music. 45 minutes of essentials have already been chosen from the footage, painstakingly edited and finally mixed. As we are getting no financial support from a record company we decided to organise a private charity campaign to the benefit of the ELISABETH HOSPICE in Lohmar, Stefan’s home during the last weeks of his life. All revenues from the album shall go to their future projects. We are absolutely confident that this will be the very best Stefan’s last album can do. To earn some money for the hospice we’ll have to have the vinyls manufactured. We started collecting money to cover the costs for the pressing, the art work and all other duties.
