Thomas Tuchel has been appointed to succeed Gareth Southgate as England manager. The 51-year-old German will be unveiled at a press conference at this afternoon, having accepted the job last Tuesday (October 8) – before England’s Nations League games against Greece and Finland. He will become the third foreign manager to take the England job, following in the footsteps of Italian Fabio Capello and the late Sven-Goran Eriksson of Sweden.
