The Skipchen Café in Bristol uses donated food that would otherwise be thrown away. Founder and Chef, Sam, explains how they migrate food waste by taking donations or finding food that would normally be thrown away. Reporter, Ed overcomes misgivings to see Skipchen as a good place to eat and thinks the law is wrong on wasting food. Filmmakers aged 14-15 Into Film’s Outreach programme aims to engage young people aged 14-19, who are not in formal education, employment or training, in watching, making and understanding film. The programme gives young people the opportunity to build on soft skills such as confidence, team work and communication, as well as develop practical, transferrable skills through filmmaking. Supported by the BFI, Into Film is the UK’s film learning programme for 5-19 year olds, encouraging and enabling watching, making and critical understanding of film in one accessible offer.
