Reel 6. Speke Airport - the first regular helicopter passenger service from Liverpool to Cardiff. Various shots of helicopter being loaded and taking off. Aerial shots. Handicapped children’s day out at Southport - paid for by Mersey firms. Various shots of the children travelling in cars. Balloons being let loose in the sky. The Empress of Scotland docks in Liverpool. Various shots of Princess Elizabeth and the Duke of Edinburgh disembarking and of the liner. A group of Canadian Mounties are seen. Princess visits the Cathedral and is presented with a bouquet of the red roses of Lancaster. Bells of the Cathedral are rung for the first time.
