Buffy the Vampire Slayer Revival Season 10 Episode 1: Brave New World

We open to downtown Odessa Texas, picking right up from the finale. Thinking the Summit explosion, was a terrorist attack, the US government now considers all people with evolved abilities including Slayers, and The Scoobies terrorists. The police get word they found one of the fugitives, as they chase a woman through the street who turns out to be Tara. She comes to a dead end as cops approach her from both sides. She spells herself a portal and jumps through before the police can reach her. At the hospital, more victims from the Summit explosion pour in. We follow the guy from the finale, watching the tv, as Erica (head of the new Dollhouse) blames Evos for the tragedy that happened. She demands that humans must stand up to evolved humans as they have now declared war, and she demands justice. Cut to Buffy entering the hospital, she has an officer with her and tells the nurse she is looking for anybody who was on the highway when the Summit exploded. She needs to find Giles. Opening Credits. Buffy calls Fred who informs her that Angel didn’t make it through the portal. Buffy suggests her and team Angel Investigations, team up to figure all this out and find Angel. Fred is with Wesley, Faith, Cordelia and Anya. Faith takes out a few vamps who had an open free for all thanks to Sabrina’s dampening spell. Buffy tells Fred that Anya told them it was Giles who blew up the summit. Cut to Willow already on a mission to figure out where Angel could be. Tara catches up to her and is mad that after all these years Willow would so casually just open a portal for the entire group, not knowing where any of them could end up. Willow apologizes and says she is trying to find a way to track Angel and get him back. She said she tried to do a locater spell but something was blocking her. Cut to Sabrina, she manages to open another portal and attacks Fred and Wesley, knowing they will think it was Willow. They manage to evade getting hit by a car but barley, and not without Fred getting injured. Back at the warehouse Willow opened the portal, the government says they are on the look out for Spike, Angel and Buffy. Wes drives Fred to the hospital to meet up with Buffy and the gang. Fred suggests they just leave the country and go into hiding, but Wesley wants to stay and fight. At the hospital, Buffy, Willow, Tara, Fred and Wesley meet up with Spike who managed to fight off the rest of the spider machines from the finale, but not without injury. The doctor asks what happened, and the gang try to cover for Spike not wanting the staff to know he is an Evolved Human. Tara, still mad at Willow gets crabby. Cordelia arrives at the hospital after dropping Anya off. Tara asks where Faith is, and Willow says she just called home and Dawn said she was out patrolling. Cordelia leaves the room and over hears the doctor and Fred talking. The doctor, thinking Spike and Fred are a couple, asks if she needs help. He knows Spike is an evolved human and says that having the X gene (the gene making them evolved humans), can lead people to be violent. Fred seems confused and looks down the hallway Cordelia just went down. Fred then notices some hospital scrubs and gets an idea. Downtown Los Angela’s we see what we think is a slayer chasing a vamp. But its the woman from the finale, and she is chasing an Evo. Cut to a dilapidated building. A bunch of Evo’s are together worrying about what they are going to do now that the world thinks they are all terrorists. One of them is the dad from the finale who lost his kid. He says he wishes more than anything evolved humans could live among humans but he knows now they can’t. The group start to become uncomfortable, but before anyone can move, the Evo from the street runs in saying that hunters have found them. The woman finally catches up as the man stands up now too, they both take out guns and fire. Evo’s try to escape but it looks like these hunters know how to deal with them. They kill them all before setting the place on fire saying its for their son they lost. We cut to Giles, in the woods near the summit disaster, he looks distressed and he comes across a human limb. And the person who did the dismembering is still there. Giles tries to load his gun and shoot but its too late.
