Incredible Supersonic Jet - Boeing F/A-18F Super Hornet at Jones Beach 2012

A Boeing F/A-18F Super Hornet approaches the speed of sound. While careful NOT to exceed the speed of sound (there would be a LOT of broken windows in the parking lot), the jet hits just under Mach 1 here causing a Prandtl--Glauert singularity, or vapor cone.
