East German Stamps DDR Ep11 - Broad Array Of Topicals & Some Nice Postmarks - Deutsche Briefmarken

#PostalPleasures Presents: East #German #Stamps #DDR Ep11 - Broad Array Of Topical Stamps & Some Nice Postmarks - #Deutsche #Briefmarken Many great stamps to discuss in this lot. I will start with my favorite stamp in the lot. If I translate it correctly it is the 2nd women’s congress of the DDR issued in 1969. It depicts 2 Women & symbols from industry , agriculture & science. There is a second stamp in this set which I don’t own but hope to find soon. I also really like the Sport and Technology Association stamps depicting Shooting and Diving. I was luck to find a complete set of the “35 years of DDR“ stamps. The history of this association is fascinating and worth looking up. The high values stamps from this lot are a bit of a surprise. The Canceled to Order (CTO) blocks of 4 have a Michel catalog value of 4 Euro each. I also enjoy the famous figures set, it is not complete did find: Ernst Barlach - German sculptor Johann Gutenberg - Invented the printing press produced the first printed version of the bible Kurt Tucholsky - German journalist Ludwig von Beethoven - German Composer Georg Wilhelm Friedrich Hegel - German philosopher Lastly I find the to long semi-postal stamps with women waving flags, eye-catching yet simple designs. I have not taken the time to research these to understand the topic but hope to soon. I love to hear from you, please tell me your favorite stamp from the lot and let me know if there are any topics you would like me to cover in the future. Thanks for watching!
