How To Remove A Fish Hook From Your Finger : String Yank Technique
1: Fasten the fishing line or string to the shank of the hook.
2: Push down firmly on the hook eye.
3: QUICKLY yank the fishing line or string.
4: This should pull the hook right out with minimal damage.
* The string yank technique should not be used if hooked in the nose or ears. It will rip the hook out and be very painful.
DO NOT remove fish hooks that are stuck in or near the eye, near an artery, or deeply in the skin. Stabilize and seek immediate medical attention.
The same goes for being hooked by a rusty hook, keep your tetanus shots up to date.
