‘Our plight here is unimaginable’: No entry of Gaza aid in days

No humanitarian relief has entered Gaza in the last few days, according to Abdalwahab Hamad from the Palestinian NGO Juhoud for Community and Rural Development. “Deliberate delays” of aid trucks have occurred at Gaza’s crossings with Israel, Hamad said. “The denial of access to food, water, and other necessities consists of a serious violation of international law and humanitarian principles,” he told Al Jazeera, speaking from Rafah in southern Gaza. The lack of essential goods is in stark contrast to the 8,200 trucks that came into Gaza each day before October 7, the NGO worker said. The lack of humanitarian supplies undermines already vulnerable people, especially in Rafah, the last sanctuary for war-displaced Palestinians, which is now facing daily Israeli attacks. “Our plight here is unimaginable,” said Hamad.
