Las Vegas, Nevada ~ Les “Carrot-Top“ Anderson with Noel Boggs and The Dudes (1951)

As promised, here is Les with some of his #Decca material, digitally restored from the original #78rpm. Les is yet another artist who has been consigned to a time forgotten. I will go on record again and say he was just as talented as some of the bigger names of the era, yet we never hear anything about him. As I’ve said many times before, this is the purpose of my page is to let folks hear these gems again and discover some “new“ old artists along the way. I often wonder why some of these folks never made it bigger than they did. I don’t know if it was the exploding rock and roll/rockabilly movement and subsequent move to the Nashville Sound or if they didn’t get the push they should have.
