Nissan AVM tech goes underwater for deep sea exploration

Nissan’s Around View Monitor (AVM) technology, a building block of its autonomous drive technology is helping remotely operated vehicles (ROVs) search for natural resources in the Earth’s oceans. The joint development with the Japan Agency for Marine-Earth Science and Technology (JAMSTEC) and Topy Industries, Ltd., a pioneer in underwater crawler robots, aims to uncover mysteries of the ocean and further aid in deep sea research.
