“Stonebriggs” in the Glen Torridon area on Mars

NASA’s Mars Science Laboratory mission: Curiosity rover is exploring Glen Torridon, a clay area on the lower slopes of Mount Sharpe. In March 2019, Curiosity imaged a zone with round and smooth clasts, nicknamed Stonebriggs. The rounded pebbles could have been shaped by ancient water flow. The raw images were acquired with Curiosity’s Mars Hand Lens Imager (MAHLI) on 24 March 2019. Images credit: NASA/JPL-Caltech/MSSS #Mars #GlenTorridon
