Call of Cthulhu Dark Corners of the Earth | Full Game Walkthrough | No Commentary

I love the HP Lovecraft mythos, but it has so rarely been done justice in videogames. Back in the mid 2000’s a small company actually had a very ambitious plan to release an adventure / detective game with the awesome setting of Cthulhu. The game starts out brilliantly. The first 3 hours or so can actually be considered a bit of a masterpiece, though it is very buggy if you are playing the steam version unfortunately. However, I personally think this game takes a turn for the worst when it turns more into an action game and leaves all the detective work and adventure tropes behind. Levels like the factory or the air filled tunnels are simply not as interesting as the Innsmouth town and much of the gameplay becomes very boring, standard and tedious. I have never played another game that I love so much for the first few hours and then hate so much by the end of it.
