Ingeborg Hallstein (b. 1936) was an outstanding German coloratura soprano in the 1960s-70s. She made a successful debut in 1957 as Musetta in Puccini’s La Bohème, and later performed on major stages around the world. She was a full member of the Bavarian State Opera from 1961 to 1973, and her repertoire included more than 60 opera and operetta roles.
