As the label’s founders, The Specials are naturally given most of the limelight, but attention is also paid to Madness, The Selecter and The Beat, amongst others. Not only about music, Two Tone’s wider cultural and political significance is very much at the heart of the programme. At a time of desperate divisions between whites, blacks and Asians, Two Tone fostered a disregard for skin colour and actively promoted interracial mixing and a collective and inclusive ethos. Stories from and about The Specials, Madness, The Beat, The Selecter, Rico Rodriguez... Broadcast on Channel 4 in 2004 -------------
