Spain: Police and demonstrators clash in Madrid during protest against arrest of Pablo Hasel

Subscribe to our channel! Hundreds of demonstrators clashed with riot police in the centre of Madrid, on Wednesday, during a protest against the arrest of rapper Pablo Hasel. Footage shows a large number of protesters gathered in Puerta del Sol as they clashed with riot police, punching and throwing objects. Some rubbish bins were also set on fire. Officers used batons against some of the protesters. According to local reports, at least 14 people were arrested during the riots in Madrid. Similar demonstrations took place in Barcelona. Rapper Pablo Hasel was arrested on Tuesday by the Catalan police at the University of Lleida, where he had barricaded himself a day earlier along with several supporters who wanted to prevent his arrest.
