DC-3 Cargo Run (Start to Finish) Anchorage to Takotna, Alaska

I’m finally just now getting around to sorting through footage and photos from my years as a DC-3 co-pilot (4 years ago!). Around this time I had just separated from active duty military to pursue college and kick start my flying career. In doing so found myself as in the right seat flying alongside a great man in a historic aircraft. He and I would go on to become good friends from this summer experience spent as crew on a legendary DC-3. (FINALLY!) A video with the pure majestic sound of those two Pratt & Whitney R-1830’s!.... You’re welcome, haters... This was a cargo charter from Anchorage to the small village of Takotna near McGrath. Wasn’t the best at recording footage, but would I did take I tried to capture the sights, the feels and the work required to fly such and airpane. I knew many more flying jobs would follow and memory one day would become a blur, so what better way to preserve these memories than a camera! Enjoy.
