Commercial Crew Program “Taking America To New Heights“

NASA’s Commercial Crew Program (CCP) is taking America to new heights with its Commercial Crew Development Round 2 (CCDev2) partners. In 2011, NASA entered into funded Space Act Agreements (SAAs) with four industry partners, Blue Origin of Kent, Wash., The Boeing Co. of Houston, Sierra Nevada Corp. of Louisville, Colo., and Space Exploration Technologies (SpaceX) of Hawthorne, Calif., to aid in the development of commercial rockets and spacecraft for human transportation capabilities. The agency also entered into unfunded SAAs with three industry partners, Alliant Techsystems (ATK) Inc. of Promontory, Utah, United Launch Alliance (ULA) of Centennial, Colo., and Excalibur Almaz of Houston, in order to exchange information about concepts and designs of transportation systems.
