Fires, vandalism in downtown Portland as George Floyd demonstration turns into riot

A march through the streets of Portland in protest of the death of George Floyd, a black man who died while in a Minneapolis police officer’s custody, has turned into a riot. The Multnomah County Justice Center in downtown Portland was set on fire. That fire has since been put out. At least one other fire was started in the area of Southwest 4th Avenue and Main Street.
