Iraq: Army forces besiege IS militants in sulphur plant south of Mosul

Iraqi forces besieged militants from the so called Islamic State (IS; formerly ISIS/ISIL) holed up in the Mishraq Sulphur State Company, south of Mosul, Friday. Local residents suffered with respiratory problems as the plant’s mechanisms were damaged during the fighting, emitting sulphur into the air.
