Alan Parsons is one extremely gifted person. His project was a new concept at the time, the “producer as recording artist.” At a young age, Alan Parsons had worked as an assistant engineer on the Beatle’s albums “Abbey Road” and “Let it Be” and later as chief engineer on Pink Floyd’s “The Dark Side of the Moon” in 1973, for which he received a Grammy nomination. Pink Floyd regards him as an important contributor to the recording process, more a producer than simply an engineer. He was also a musician and teamed with Eric Woolfson, a composer, performer and producer for this, the first of many successful Alan Parsons Project albums.
