`Please be kind,` was composed by Saul Chaplin and Sammy Cahn in 1938. Saul Chaplin was inducted into the songwriters Hall of Fame in 1985. He won Academy Awards for his work on the scores of Seven Brides for Seven Brothers, an American in Paris and West Side Story as well as nominations for Kiss Me Kate and High Society. The tune was on the first recording that Frank Sinatra made with the Count Basie Orchestra. Joscho Stephan, accompanied by Fredi Gebhardt, Sven Jungbeck and Stefan Berger, gave resently a great tribute to this all time jazz standard. Live on the AudimaGH stage of Gartenheim, Hannover.
