A Micro DXpedition to Eagle’s Nest - July 22, 2022

A winter’s afternoon at Eagle’s Nest in the Silvan Forest. Onboard is the Tecsun PL680 receiver and a random length wire antenna about 30 metres in the trees at about 2.5 metres high. This is a great location for DXing because it has a very low noise floor, allowing for weak signals to peek through, even when there is no reading on the radio’s signal strength meter!
