Direct Hit: Huge Prominence Eruption And Earth-Directed CME - November 16. 2023.

Solar Activity November 15-16 2023: Coronal dimming was observed in AIA/SDO 193 angstroms beginning just after 15/04:00 UTC in the vicinity of AR 3486. The resulting narrow, fast CME can be seen emerging in SOHO C2 coronagraph imagery at approximately 15/04:24 UTC. This event was modeled and determined to be a miss ahead of Earths orbit. Other, more impressive CMEs were observed over the past 24 hours, one of them was Earth-directed. This CME was associated with a large prominence eruption that happened earlier today (Nov. 16).
