Karen Language Song - Sawang & Emilie

Summer school holidays are in full swing here in Thailand. Emilie’s friend Sawang, who lives near the Thai/Burmese border in the mountains, spent a few weeks with us in Bangkok. This was a fantastic opportunity for Sawang to take professional drum lessons at a nearby music school and to share his love of Karen songs with our daughter, Emilie. Sawang is 15 years old, and I’ve known him since he was a baby. He grew up surrounded by elephants, and his father, Krahan, was the head mahout at Elephants World.
