Body Paint (1967)

Hyde Park, London. L/S of a girl, Caroline Munro, swimming in the Serpentine; she comes out of the water and dries herself with a towel. A young man in a floral shirt appears, pours some body paint into a tray and with little rollers paints wobbly patterns on parts of the girl that are not covered by her bikini. She seems fairly amused by this, although the finished ’work of art’ is quite a mess! She lies down so he can finish off her midriff. Commentator says “The British ingenuity is never at a loss when it comes to humorous hobbies“. Apparently, the makers thought it would be “all the rage once the knack spreads“.
