Entire House Falls Into River

An entire house plummeted into the river, crumbling into pieces as it hit the water. It happened in Juneau, Alaska, along the Mendenhall River. The river flooded because of a major release from the suicide basin, a side basin of the Mendenhall Glacier above Juneau that stretched 13.6 miles. The glacier has been melting, causing massive amounts of water to travel into the lake that’s connected to the river. Alaska, weather, offbeat, climate change
