Italy officially opened the new Genoa bridge on Monday, two years after the deadly collapse that killed 43 people and shocked the country. The new kilometre-long bridge, designed by star architect Renzo Piano, replaces the old span that broke apart in the city on Aug. 14, 2018 in one of Italy’s worst civil disasters in decades.
