1965 66 Tonka Farms Horse Truck Restoration Time Lapse

I picked up this 1965-66 Tonka Farms Horse Truck from a local antique shop. Overall, outside of the rust and corrosion it was in pretty decent shape. Its missing the ramp tailgate and two black horses that would have came with the truck. I started the restoration with the removal of the wheels. The white walls had become brittle and broke upon disassembly. With the hub caps and white walls out of the way, I ground down the axle retainers and removed the axles and tires from the truck. I then moved onto removal of the horse bed. Using a dremel tool equipped with a carbide bit I ground down the tubular rivets, then punched them out with a punch and hammer. Once the fenders were removed, I was able to remove the horse bed. Here I bent the tab on the horse divider up, only afterward figuring out that it’s unnecessary to do. You can simply remove the lower tab and pull upwards on the divider to remove. Next was the removal of the tubular rivets holding the grille assembly to the main body. The headlight can be re
