USA now! A series of earthquakes in Oklahoma City!
A series of earthquakes struck near Oklahoma City on Friday evening, the largest of which had a magnitude of 4.4.
The epicenters of the earthquakes were near Edmond, along Interstate 35.
The tremors occurred at a depth of 4 miles, and shaking was reportedly felt as far away as Kansas.
There were no reports of damage.
Local residents on social media reported hearing a loud boom before the shaking.
Authorities said there was no information yet on whether human activity played a role in the latest quake.
In 2016, a magnitude 5.8 earthquake was caused by the injection of wastewater from oil and gas production.
