VAGINA MONOLOGUE Eia Mater (2018)

V-Dao monologue: Eulogy of the Virgin (2018) The 2014 undergraduate graduation work of the Central Academy of Fine Arts School of Design, the Virgin-the perfect feminine body born from male discourse, the chaste body completes the mission of procreation and becomes a mother, willing to endure suffering is called a virtue; V-Dao-the fresh, huge, silent wound between the legs of a woman has given birth to mankind for several centuries, and it has also given birth to countless shame, fear and myths. Its nature is unspeakable and it must be anxious. “V Dao Monologue: Eulogy of the Virgin“ is based on excerpts from the script of the feminist drama “V Dao Monologue”. It confronts and deconstructs two seemingly opposite symbols, trying to rebuild the metaphor of “human nature—divinity“ in it, to achieve reorganization and healing in the sense of mythology, and projects and intends to discuss the dilemma of contemporary women in a patriarchal society. The V way is a wound that will not heal. It can forgive and repair; it hurts for mankind, stretches for mankind, dies for mankind, and works with God. The V way uses images as a cry, just as the only music in the image is the singing in the “Eulogy of the Virgin“. The two voices overlap and go back and forth: “Ah, Our Lady, please let me bear the suffering with you.」
