God’s Away On Business

This is my version of a Tom Waits song. I’m playing all the instruments and singing. The video footage is from Vietnam War, but would not specifically have to be. I chose it just to evoke the brutality of war in general, as I think the music does as well. To record, I used a Fender Telecaster into a 5-watt Class A tube amp with a 10“ Eminence Patriot series speaker. I used a Squier Deluxe Active Jazz Bass tracked from the DI out of a Behringer BH300. I also used a Simmons electronic drum kit and Shure and MXL microphones. I used a Presonus AR12 interface into my MacBook running Logic X Pro. Hope you enjoy! Comments welcome :-)
