Malawi’s Chief Theresa Kachindamoto has broken up over 850 child marriages in the past three years, sent the girls back to school, and banned the sexual initiations of girls. UN Women supports traditional leaders in Malawi to ensure that the recent changes in marital law are fully understood and implemented.
