GAME RECAP: Penguins at Sabres () | Penguins Earn the Extra Point over the Sabres

The Penguins faced off against the Sabres at the KeyBank Center in Buffalo, NY. The 1st period would end in a 0-0 tie with only one power play opportunity for the Penguins. Late into the 2nd period, Jake Guentzel would start the scoring on a pass from Evgeni Malkin making the game 1-0. A few minutes later the Sabres would strike back twice ending the period 1-2 in their favor. Three minutes into the 3rd period Rickard Rakell would put one in the back of the net to even the score 2-2. With under five minutes to go in regulation, Brock McGinn would put the Penguins up by one for a 3-2 lead. Buffalo would quickly strike back and even the score at three forcing overtime.
