Varkâna - Cosmic Terror (full album, 2020)

Our first offering in today’s Dungeon Synth Sunday is the latest album from our Iranian friend Varkâna. We also have a new DSS banner, with another design from the awesome A. Shipwright. A member of the Ardawahisht Kollective, started by Harpag Karnik (of Erancnoir, Forelunar, Etheraldine and more) of esoteric outsider musicians in Iran, as well as the Order, this third album from this mystic dungeon ambient artist deals with Lovecraftian themes of cosmic enormity. “Then in the slow creeping course of eternity the utmost cycle of the cosmos churned itself into another futile completion, and all things became again as they were unreckoned kalpas before.”
