Star Wars - Stranger Things medley, Live in Helsinki, 2019

In 2019 I was invited to perform at the Prague Film Music Festival as a support act for Kyle Dixon and Michael Stein, who were performing their music from the “Stranger Things“ Netflix series. Since I was to perform after the main act, I thought it appropriate to make my own version of the theme. Now the theme is really short - only one minute long - so I expanded it with the The Force Theme from Star Wars by John Williams, turning it into a medley. The medley stayed in my repertoire for the rest of the tour that year. This video was filmed when I performed it live at Kuudes Linja in Helsinki, on the 22nd of May, 2019. Thanks to Mika Knuutila and Jonatan Flinck for operating the cameras, and Sebastian “Baba“ Sjöblom for the light show! I performed the tune using only analog synthesizers, with some parts played live and some parts sequenced. The performance was recorded directly from the mixer to a stereo track, and was later mixed together with the ambience from the room.
