Morningstar | real knight fight with twohanded spiked mace

If you want to support my videos, then leave a subscription on my Patreon: This is a long shafted Morningstar. A spiked mace on a long pole is normaly a weapon for peasents. The long shaft make it possible to attake the opponents out of distance for a safe use without armor. Long spikes make the weapon functional against armored opponents and a mace head adds the spikes power to dig deep in the gabs of armor. This weapon makes enemies fear and can kill, but only if the spikes hit the gabs of armor. The mace head crushes on the plates but didn’t injure a knight and a big mace is easy to block. We tested the “deadly“ weapon and it sucked! During the test duel two spikes get stuck in the eye holes of the opponents helmet and broke, but they didn’t penetrate the helmet. The mace was so easy to block that I couldn’t hit his armor gabs (inner elbow, armpits, hip and back of the knee). In the first round the sword pierced my inner arm and armpit two times. You can barely see it, but it didn’t felt nice. With a real pointy tip I couldn’t used my arm after the second hit any more and wouldn’t be able to push him away at the end. So the longsword was definitely in advantage. In the second round we both fail in stabbing each other and the head of my mace misses a few times my target. At the end we both went into Ringen and closed combat with daggers. Without daggers I wouldn’t have a chance. You can use a sword in closed combat, but u can’t use a twohanded mace. My opponent Martin get me two times with his dagger, so he technically won again, but you never know if a dagger can penetrate the chainmail, so we continued and I get him 8 times with the dagger in many gabs of his armor. The long shafted morningstar sucked, but it looks awesome and make fear to every opponent. I loved it. Everyone who read this have to know, that the mace of that long shafted Morningstar is made of steel and is a leathal weapon, that can kill without armor, but the spikes we used are made from hard rubber. Yes we do crazy stuff, but we don’t wanna kill each other. At the end of the day, we are friends. We are living for martial arts, but we don’t wanna die for it. Greetings Dequitem
