Large Eddy Simulation (LES) of flow past a low pressure turbine blade

This animation shows the flow over a low-pressure turbine blade. This 2D animation is created by simulating 3D Navier-Stokes equations in a compressible medium, using Large Eddy Simulation. This simulation was run using Argo code on Cenaero’s high-performance clusters. The colors in the animation represent iso-surfaces of flow vorticity. More info: visit
