How to make paper PHOENIX 🐦‍🔥 bird | DIY cardboard paper mache art crafts

Hello! In this video, I’m making a Phoenix bird. It is inspired a little by Harry Potter’s Fawkes the phoenix. It is a fantasy bird creature, so I made my own version. It is mostly made of paper. First, I made a basic shape from magazines. Then, I added cardboard and packing paper to shape it even more. The basic shape for the wings is made from cardboard, the beak from a kitchen towel (toilet paper roll), then all secured with packing paper on top. For the eyes, I used half beads and wrapped them with wiping paper. I added more cardboard to shape the face more. I didn’t have exact measurements, nor am I an expert on bird anatomy. All I did was use my imagination and inspiration from bird photos on the internet. For the feathers, I used colorful paper. I painted the tail feathers with colored pencils and later added acrylic paint on top, on both sides, because I thought they needed more color.
