The Fast Lady (Movie Theme) * Alan Elsdon And His Jazz Band

The Fast Lady is a 1962 British comedy film, directed by Ken Annakin. The screenplay was written by Henry Blyth and Jack Davies, based on the 1925 novel of the same name by Keble Howard. Don Sharp directed second unit. “The Fast Lady“ is the name of a vintage Bentley. The film opened at the Odeon Marble Arch in London in December 1962. A loose sequel, Father Came Too!, was released in February 1963. Starring Stanley Baxter James Robertson Justice Leslie Phillips Julie Christie Music by Norrie Paramor. I believe this to be the only version ever released on vinyl in February 1963. Elsdon born in London on 15 October 1934, led his own band from 1961 (he made an appearance on 1st June 1962 in a TV series called All That Jazz) into the 1990s, and during the 1960s also played with Edmond Hall, Albert Nicholas, Wingy Manone, and Howlin’ Wolf.
