1965 Aston Martin DB5 Convertible - Nicholas Mee & Company, Aston Martin Specialists

Completed and delivered in January 1965, to Aston Martin agents Brooklands of Bond Street, this now restored DB5 Convertible, would have received a great deal of admiration, when delivered to its first Hampshire based celebrity owner. One of just 81 RHD examples of the DB5 Convertible, built between 1964-65. With a list price of some £4,500, almost twice the price of an average house in those days, the DB5 Convertible attracted a great deal of interest with many being owned by celebrities in period, a tradition continued too today. Delivered when new, finished in Caribbean Blue with Grey hides and equipped with standard specifications, including a ZF 5-speed transmission, tinted glass and power operated windows. Changing hands two years later, by 1973 the car had been purchased by a long-term Kent based enthusiast, who enjoyed and retained ownership for over 36 years, before releasing the car to its next collector owner in 2010.
