“The Telephone“ from Frostiana by Randall Thompson

Poetry of Robert Frost set in this spectacular Mixed Chorus piece by Randall Thompson. “The Telephone“ text speaks of a young man asking his love if in fact she called him from her window. Thompson himself suggests that the women should remain seated during the piece; in our setup, we also used the presence of the piano to visually create the wall between the men and women. In the video production, we have used a sepia tone process in order to give the visual impact of an older generation and earlier time.
