LIVE: Destruction in Gaza after Israeli Air Force responds to Hamas terror attacks

THOUSANDS of rockets were fired into Israel by Hamas militants. At least 198 Israelis were killed in the attack, according to health officials, and more than 500 were injured, said Israel health minister. Israeli military forces have now declared a “state of war“ after the horror unfolded this morning. Footage on social media shows cars and buildings up in flames, with large plumes of smoke seen from miles away. The Israeli Air Force carried out multiple strikes on Gaza buildings said to be Hamas military targets. The Palestinian ministry of health in Gaza said at least 256 Palestinians were killed in air strikes and over 1,700 were injured.
