The dashcam of an Uber car in Chicago captured the moment a passenger got in, only for the car to be shot at by the woman’s pursuer. The video, shared by driver John Williams, shows a young woman getting in the car and saying, ‘Go, go, go! He’s going to shoot at the car.’ She then ducks down and begins looking at her phone, surprisingly calm. As the car begins to pull away, shots ring out, and the terrified driver exclaims ‘What is that?! What the f*** was that?’ According to Williams, the woman in the back contacted the police ‘while we waited not far from the scene’ but ‘the situation escalated as more gunshots rang out, and cars began making erratic maneuvers on the street.’ When it became too dangerous to wait for the police, Williams instead drove the woman to a relative’s house, before continuing his shift.
