The first round of the New Japan Cup 2024 continues with the overall theme appearing to be “reset“.
Of the matches this past week, the two stand outs are the clash between Shingo Takagi and Uemura and the hoss battle between Jeff Cobb and Yota Tsuji. There are some signs also of who NJPW will be throwing their chips on (Gabe Kidd, TJP, David Finlay, Ren Narita etc.) over the next year and some potential senior members of the roster who may take up bigger spots.
