Reels: Road To Ballymac & The Laurel Tree

The first reel was composed by Leslie Craig, accordion player from Cullybackey in County Antrim. We played on the porch of a cabin at Big Butte Mountain Retreat in Canton NC surrounded by trees, wasp nests and John Wayne. The previous year, a large black snake fell from the roof onto the deck but this year the music must have invoked St Patrick and we were snakeless.
